One of the hottest names in the underground right now Sensu has just released her 5th body of work Pieces EP, and one of the brightest gems on the EP is certainly “Faded Hearts”.
Switzerland-based Sensu stands out for drawing inspiration from UKG and breakbeat to create her own spellbinding sound. “Faded Hearts” is a marvelous example of this sentiment with its shuffling drums and stellar, heavily textured sound design. This is all topped off with an emotive vocal sample that’s distorted throughout yet still retains its soulful allure. Recently we actually interviewed Sensu, and she opens up about the making of Pieces EP, the challenges that came with it, and much more. You’re welcome to find the piece here.
