This is, hands down, one of the catchiest & most interesting beats of r&b I’ve heard in a while.
You probably remember Saint Joshua because of his smooth “Palo Santo” (which we can’t get out of our heads). Just 10 days ago, the UK singer dropped his debut album Self-(En)titled, a collection of 9 songs, gliding on top of genres like r&b, neo-soul, pop, and future beats. The record includes producers like edbl, Blair Mackichan, Cashybear & more.
The song I wanted to feature is the two-part “Nasty/(En)amor”, mainly due to its groove (which I mentioned earlier) but also because his honey vocals float effortlessly on top, balancing it all out quite nicely, in a Timberlake/Pharell manner. The almost indie-folk-like 2nd half is pure bliss, too.
The whole album is gorgeous, especially if you’re a fan of the tastefully pop side of r&b, so make sure you hit that play button:
