Raquel Rodriguez is not a new name on our blog – I’m sure the feel-good “Over It” from 2023 has stayed in your hearts for a while.

She makes a strong comeback in our feed with the smooth “Scorpion”, produced by no other but Amber Navran (the lead singer of Moonchild). The song carries pulsating synths and groovy production but also a lot of soul – both in the vocals and the chords.

Raquel shares, “It’s an admission of being the type to talk crap. It’s something that Amber and I do whenever we see each other and it’s a huge release. We’re not mean people, we’re just acutely aware of the behavior of people around us.”

Naturally, this gorgeous r&b tune brings a lot of warmth but also reassurance & empowerment. It’s taken off Raquel Rodriguez’s sophomore album Housewife which has names like Lettuce‘s Nigel Hall, MXXWLL & Misha involved.
