One of the stand-out tracks released by Memblem this year is the fun yet soulful “Empty Talk” which effortlessly blends groovy rhythms with heartfelt vocals.
Since 2020, U.S.-based vocalist and producer Memblem has been making waves with his distinct fusion of hip hop, house, and r&b. On “Empty Talk” we’re welcomed to a colorful listening experience fleshed out by cute, glittery melodies that are paired with lush pads – in many ways the melodic section reminds me a lot of 2000s r&b. This is complemented by a slick yet vulnerable rap verse that dives into modern dating, and this sits well over these lively, booming drums that carry a house influence.
