Last year, Roche Musique luminary Kartell unveiled his spacey debut album EVERYTHING IS HERE, and one of the seminal moments that featured on the project was “Mars” with Kurtis Wells.
We’ve been following Kartell’s journey for nearly a decade, and it was a pleasure to witness him finally release his first album – which surprisingly leaned more towards a live feel. However, the Last Shuttle Version of “Mars” from his deluxe album encapsulates his Day Break era thanks to the groove and the rich percussive embellishments we’re acquainted with. The ethereal vocals from Kurtis Wells are beautifully complemented by glossy, airy synths and vibrant pianos that accentuate the track’s colorful allure.
