Ready for some awesome female hip-hop?
Detroit rapper/singer Junii (whose upfront double single “jinx!/weplayedthegame” we featured last month) is back with her new album (or EP) JINX!. The 9-track (but just 18-minute-long) project serves as a portal to her world – showing Junii’s sonic evolution in hip-hop, all the weirdness & beauty inside, her unorthodox perspectives & honest lyricism.
The focus track “phnecharger” is produced by modern legend Kaelin Ellis and will pull you in with its awesome drum groove, soulful sampling, intricate sound design, and impressive flow skill & speed.
