After years of covering the art of London-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Hemai, I’m still in awe every time I hear something new. He never fails to surprise us.

His new song, “Gold In The Water”, features lush, soul-injected vocals courtesy of Jungle & Loyle Carner collaborator JNR WILLIAMS and is a source of endless emotions. Blending indie folk with downtempo electronica, the track weaves together Hemai’s nostalgic synths, fluttering sonics, and intricate drums – beautifully contrasted by JNR WILLIAMS’ signature vocals.

I love how spacious the whole thing sounds. It is one of the best examples of how great production can make you feel and experience things. Listening to this on repeat feels like wandering through a vast, open field, completely lost in nature’s embrace.
