Ebi Soda have blurred the lines between melancholy and hope with their release “feely”, one of the brightest gems to come from their new album frank, dean, and andrew.
UK-based six-piece Ebi Soda have been releasing music since 2019, steadily carving out their own distinct space within the jazz scene. They’ve become known for their eclectic form of jazz, borrowing influences from a variety of genres, and that’s exactly what we’re welcome to here. What lured me to “feely” was the incredibly emotive progression led by gripping string embellishments and the gentle keys guiding their way. The drums are smooth and minimal, allowing us to become immersed within the lush, melodic soundscape that “feely” draws us into. If you enjoyed this, I highly recommend diving into the full experience of the album.
