DAWSON is a household name when it comes to the new wave of jazz house producers and his latest sonic delight called “Parallel” solidifies that. The groovy, hazy afternoon joint featuring axophonist Lewis McCallum will transport you back to those August sunsets spent with friends. The most beautiful vibe that’s the cross-section of chill and groovy. The track weaves smooth, organic house textures with the soulful warmth and romantic flair of soft jazz and it features lush guitar chords by Sam Nakamura and the enchanting spoken words of Lachlan Woods-Davidson. An element I found quite alluring.
If you want to learn more about the genre and its origin and history, I highly recommend Lu’s What Is Jazz House? Genre Guide, History & Key Artists and Everything You Need To Know brilliant piece.
