Matt Wilde has been quiet with his own projects this year – we haven’t heard from him since It’s A Delight EP in 2024, aside from 2 features on FloFilz’s tunes.
Today, the Manchester keyboardist unveils the 1st single off his upcoming album Find A Way, set to release on his own imprint Hello World Records on October 10th.
“Smile Today” will probably indeed make you smirk, thanks to the wonderful fusion of playful piano & bright trumpets (thanks to Aaron Wood), alongside jazzy drum grooves. Matt elaborates:
”This tune came from a moment where I needed that. I just wanted to make something that was light, kind… Something that says: Hey, I know things are a lot, but maybe just smile today. Even for a bit”.
