Laxcity has a knack for weaving heartwarming emotional moments into intricate production, and that’s exactly what we’re welcome to on his new release “in your arms”.
Our love for Laxcity’s work goes way back to 2017, and it only deepened after our 2022 Foxtales podcast episode with him – needless to say, we’re big fans. On “in your arms” we see Laxcity veer into the direction of UK garage, albeit done in a manner that honors his signature brand of future beats/future bass. The drums pack a punch under the woozy synths while an airy vocal sample floats across the mix to usher in a soulful essence into the track. “in your arms” feels like a downtempo experience while wrapped in the aesthetic of UK garage.
