Acclaimed British producer Catching Flies has exciting plans ahead this year, with his new album Beats & Pieces slated for release on April 11th.
From what we can tell from the title and from the sound of “IMY” and the last single, Catching Flies will be leaning towards more of a stripped-back sound compared to his last album Tides. “IMY” is essentially a heavily embellished chillhop track adorned with a plethora of textures and soulful vocals reminiscent of the 70s. This is accompanied by gorgeous brass touches floating across the mix and glossy keys that add warmth, lushness, and a sense of introspection to the vibe.
