The Stereofox team is gearing up for this year’s edition of the top electronic artists to watch in 2025, and one of the names we’ve never featured before is the incredibly talented SHIMA.
The U.S.-based producer and songwriter infuses her Japanese heritage by blending traditional sounds with modern electronic music. “EIYAA,” released via TOKiMONSTA’s Young Art, stands as a shining example of this sentiment with its thunderous percussive embellishments and uplifting vocal sample. When the drums fall silent, there’s quite a spotlight on the vocal parts, and this eventually crescendoes into an ODESZA-reminiscent drop – showcasing her ability to create dynamism steeped in emotion.
